Update 19 - The Lost Library - Stretch Goal Delivery Soon
over 4 years ago – Thu, Jan 23, 2020 at 11:49:22 PM

Hello Backers!

The Lost Library stretch goal piece has been completed! Files for the Lost Library should be arriving by this weekend! I have a few things to set up in the Backerkit service to complete delivery for everyone, but I am hoping to get this one out to you all as soon as I can.

As for stretch goal set two, the jungle ruins set, it is currently in the final planning stages, so I should begin the actual 3D designing process this week! This may take another week or two to iron out some details, and see what kind of Mesoamerican style and features I am going to work with. There are some things I would like to experiment with still before incorporating them. Thank you for your patience!

The entire library model is comprised of 8 Individual parts, but each of them should be less of a print time than some files in the core set. I did my best to cut out material where I could, specifically in the floor sections. They are thinner and should help speed up prints without reducing detail!

The interior comes with built in shelving, but you can also add your own scatter to fill out the library and make it original.

There is plenty of space for play on the inside, and it is very open.

For those not in the Holy Knight pledge level who still would like to have the stretch goal models, do not worry! The Lost Library and other stretch goals are going to be made available, and I will have more information on that coming up soon as well!

Thank you all for your support and patience! I will announce when the files are sent in a few days, so be sure to check your inboxes!

Sincerely,

Michael

Update 18 - The Lost Library - Progress Update
over 4 years ago – Sat, Jan 18, 2020 at 01:50:32 AM

Hello Backers!

I've been working in overdrive this week in hopes to have something exciting to share with you. I really made a great bit of progress on the first stretch goal! I decided to use a little bit of the Romanesque architectural influence for this one, and am still ironing out more of the interior details.

It uses some of the same elements of the Forsaken Temple, and think it fits nicely in this world, but also has it's own charm.  It is not in ruins, as the other two stretch goals will be more broken down, I thought it would be nice to have a solid intact structure.

The interior of a library is really what makes it, so that is where my focus has been since the start. I added the fireplace, and parchment shelves for a little bit of character.

I am going to work on the interior this weekend, and then hopefully have the test prints finished within the next week! No set date on release for this one, but hoping it will be before the end of the month if possible!

Thank you all, and I hope you like the look of the Lost Library!

Sincerely,

Michael

Update 17 - Stretch Goal Announcement
over 4 years ago – Mon, Jan 13, 2020 at 11:45:00 PM

Hello Backers!

Thank you all for the wait! I have the votes in, and will list the general ideas for the three unlock stretch goals today! Overall design goals for these sets will be to include some elevation for play as well as other backer suggestions, and still accommodate a 28 mm scale.

1. Lost Alchemist Library Set - I have a full sized structure in mind with a full interior. It will also include some interior scenery pieces to really give it some extra character. This will be the largest stretch goal set, and the first set I begin work on!

2. Jungle Ruins set with Mayan and Aztec influences-  This set of terrain will be mostly ancient ruins with the architectural elements of Mesoamerican structures and some overgrowth. It will also fit nicely with the Path of Despair and Forsaken Temple already in the core set.

3. Celtic Ruins and Henge Stones - This set of ruins will be European influenced, inspired by Celtic and Druid neolithic stones and structures. I will also be incorporating some runes and other elements if possible, and try to add some fantasy elements.

I know the print times on certain core set models like the tower are very high, so I am going to try to make the stretch goals more manageable in terms of print time, and split them into parts as needed as long as it doesn't interfere in the overall design aesthetic.

Thank you all! I will be sharing progress updates over the next several weeks, and expect all of these to be completed and delivered by March at the latest, provided there are no set backs!

Sincerely,

Michael

Update 16 - Final Votes and Stretch Goal Creation
over 4 years ago – Sun, Jan 12, 2020 at 12:47:29 AM

Hello Backers!

Hope you are all having fun printing! There are still a few outstanding surveys yet, but most of them are completed now. If you haven't had time to check your Backerkit email, or it got lost, please get at me in the comments or a direct message, and we can get everything set up!

Votes will be counted tomorrow evening! So make sure you get your vote in by midnight Eastern Time if you can. I will be starting the design of stretch goal sets starting Monday morning! I'm super excited and have all the supplies ready to go for test printing.

Monday morning design sessions are coming soon, and I am prepared!

If you have any questions, please let me know! Thank you all for your patience and support; stretch goal updates will begin coming in over the next several weeks! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Update 14 - Voting and Stretch Goal Creation!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Jan 08, 2020 at 12:46:55 AM

Hello Backers!

File delivery has begun! There are about 85 outstanding surveys remaining as of this morning, and more than half of those are eligible Holy Knight voters. The votes are too close to call at the moment, but it looks like the Lost Library, Alchemist Library is in the lead for the first stretch goal!

NOTE: I will manually lock in surveys and send files as they come in from today onward, so please allow up to 24 hours between completion and delivery!

I am super excited to get started working on these stretch goal pieces,  and am currently doing some planning steps ahead based on the top seven ideas currently in the lead.

In order to ensure all backers get their chance to vote, I will set an extended deadline for the outstanding surveys. I want to give everyone enough time without them feeling rushed, so I won't start counting votes until this Sunday, Jan. 12.  Also, I am going to try to work in as many design ideas from backers that I can into the finished pieces.

Thank you so much for your support and patience! I should have more to announce Monday once the votes are counted! Please let me know if you have any issues receiving your downloads, or if you have any trouble with the Backerkit service.

Sincerely,

Michael
