Update 15 - Tormented Village File Reissue/Repair
over 4 years ago – Wed, Jan 08, 2020 at 12:46:12 AM

Please note a repaired version of the Modular Platform 2 STL for the tormented village has been sent due to lengthy slicing time. It will arrive as a single, STL file and is not included in the main file pack.

Update 13 - File Delivery Today!
over 4 years ago – Mon, Jan 06, 2020 at 11:08:14 PM

Hello Backers!

Files will be sent shortly to everyone who has completed the survey! I have about 100 outstanding surveys that need completed, and a few more votes need counted on the stretch goals page. Thank you all so much for your patience!

Also, please note one of the ruins in the Paths of Despair is over sized as I sculpt the models in larger format, which I noticed when I was doing my final counts and inspections. Please scale this one (The ruins with the head) down to 80 percent to make it fit with the 200 mm set. Everything should be available as a direct download by tonight for everyone!

Please let me know if you have any trouble receiving your files. There are printing instructions in each set as well, so give those a read for select parts!

Also, check out https://desktophero3d.com! Andrew has some awesome stuff to showcase, and some of the files from this set have been used as background scenery in the miniature building app! :)

Thank you so much for your support!

Sincerely,

Michael

Update 12 - Surveys on their way! STL distribution set for Monday!
over 4 years ago – Fri, Jan 03, 2020 at 01:33:50 AM

Hello Backers!

Happy New Year! And to kick off 2020, we have gotten the final approvals for the Backerkit surveys, which will be arriving today and tomorrow!

This means all surveys will be in backer inboxes by this weekend! From there, I will give everyone a few days to respond, complete their pledge process, and begin locking in all the completed surveys. On Monday, January 6, after doing a final lock and review, I will launch the distribution core set, and the files will go out as a  direct download!

NOTE: If you can't get to your survey in time this weekend, do not worry! I will continually lock in surveys as they arrive over the following days and weeks, and continue to distribute files on a regular basis if you are late getting your survey completed. I will also send out reminders each week through Backerkit.

All files are going to be in .rar format and will need to be unpacked either with WinRAR or WinZip software. Each pack will include all of the STLs needed for each terrain set.

In addition, Holy Knight pledges, please review the included link that will be in your survey. This is how voting will begin for unlocked stretch goals. If you do not see your exact idea, it means I have included it to the best of my ability in a general theme. I have a word document with everyone's individual ideas, in addition to the email responses, but in order to do the voting, I had to combine as many as I could.

For example, graveyards, catacombs and crypts are all very similar, so they have been combined. Other examples included an alchemist library and lost library, or house of knowledge, these were all very similar, so I combined them into a single idea. Other examples were jungle ruins, which were combined with Mesoamerican and Mayan and Aztec themed pieces.

For those who provided general design ideas, for example including basements, or working in multiple layers, or elevation on pieces, those are going to be taken into account for everything voted on.

I want to do my very best to make some beautiful pieces for the stretch goals, and I hope everyone feels their voice has been heard in this voting process. I am also open to discussion, ideas, photographic references and more, so if you have something for me, please shoot me an email or direct message!

Thank you so much for your support! Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will help you any way I can!

Sincerely,

Michael

Update 10 - Late Pledge Open Preorder and Backer Surveys
over 4 years ago – Fri, Dec 20, 2019 at 11:18:33 AM

Hello Backers!

I just have a brief update for everyone today. The Backerkit Service is now live for late pledges at https://forsakenlands.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders. In addition, surveys and Ranger's Pass options are in the system and will be ready to go once all backer emails are sent within the two week period.

I'll have more information on that upcoming process very soon, and will be available to help everyone from every pledge level complete their survey in order to get ready for the file distribution day!

As for the preliminary surveys sent to Holy Knights, I have already received more than 200 responses and a few emails with photos and sketches as of this morning! Thank you all for taking the time to get me started on stretch goal preparation. Currently, I am reading through each one and creating a list to be used for voting! Now is a perfect time to get to planning as we wait for distribution and surveys to go out.

There are some really exciting ideas, everything from graveyards and halfling houses to alchemist libraries and monolithic ruins! Thank you all for your patience ahead of distribution; I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and will have more to share very soon!

Sincerely,

Michael
